Brussels Grand départ 2019 – From 01 to 07.07.2019
From 4 until 7 July 2019, during the Grand Départ of the Tour de France, little bit of history has just been made in Brussels featuring Belgium’s legendary champion, the hugely charismatic Eddy Merckx!
Tour fever hit the heart of the capital creating unforgettable memories across the country.
The sun shone on both stages on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July and 1 million visitors flooded the city. Energy, enthusiasm, passion and commitment… The iconic Tour de France proved once again that sport can unite people of all ages, races and backgrounds, bringing together the whole community.
Brussels, which shares those values, dazzled the world with its attractions, hospitality, generosity and rich diversity. The City of Brussels and Brussels-Capital Region worked hand in hand with their many Tour partners and are delighted with the event’s incredible success.
Following this unforgettable experience, Brussels is more determined than ever to keep promoting cycling for everyone, every day.
